The Blogging Climate
October 11th, 2006 by Carbon CoalitionWhen skimming through other ”global warming” blogs, a common trend continually stands out: the debate is over. Instead these blogs have moved on to reporting the science, which is much more interesting than reporting on a fabricated debate. With day-to-day entries, blogs provide current information. Here’s what some of the blogs are talking about:
The Climate Ark’s recent posts range from reporting on the global climate effects of burning rainforests in Southeast Asia to explaining the effects of ocean circulation on climate and how drought could become an issue due to global warming. Real Climate “Climate Science from Climate Scientists” explains “Attribution of 20th Century Climate Change from CO2″ in this post on October 4th. Climate Change Resources links to many scientific reports and the author even posts “Emission Trends + The Master Plan,” a personal ”plan” of steps needed to help combat global warming.
And although most climate blogs have moved beyond the “debate” issue, it is still hard to completely avoid. In It’s Getting Hot in Here the most recent post links to a video that shows Minnesota Congressional Candidate, Michele Backmann, being laughed at by an audience as she tries to explain that global warming isn’t necessarily fact. Look who’s laughing now!
